The primary mission of Christ Anglican Mission is to provide people with a place to worship God "in spirit and in true" (John 4:23).
In John 4, as Jesus addressed the Samaritan "woman at the well", he told her that God the Father "seeks" those who will worship him. In Matthew 22, Jesus was asked what is the greatest commandment. To this question Jesus replied, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets" (Matthew 22:37-40).
We affirm that true worship begins with a proper love for God. This love is manifest in both private and corporate worship. This is the foundation for all of life. Worship expresses our love for God. From this love flows our love for our neighbour and is expressed in our actions toward our fellow man. The Mission of Christ Anglican Church is simply to worship God and minister to our neighbor. By doing this we aim to love God and our neighbor.
